Bamzonia is divided into three levels to gradually build the financial confidence of students from 7-18 years of age:
Foundation level — Discover Bamzonia
Intermediate level — Build Bamzonia
Advanced level — Live Bamzonia
Bamzonia provides 47 interactive personal financial lessons linked to the current National Curricula accross the UK. From September 2014, the English National Curriculum will make PFE a compulsory subject for Secondary Schools. Bamzonia covers the new PFE requirements under Citizenship, providing an instant solution for busy teachers.
Bamzonia’s lessons break down important financial concepts into bite size chunks. Lessons are graduated, starting with basic money concepts and building to more complex financial matters. At the end of each lesson is a quiz to promote and test knowledge retention. Bamzonia delivers a 92% knowledge retention rate with over half of our students choosing to continue to learn from home.
Student progress is easily monitored on teacher reporting dashboards. Students are rewarded for progress through the lessons with certificates and Zonian Credits (our virtual currency) which they need to play the game. Students are challenged to re-build the economy of Bamzonia by purchasing and personalising home squares. The more they learn in the lessons, the more credits they earn and the further they progress in the game.
The lessons are in 3 modules, Discover Bamzonia, Build Bamzonia and Live Bamzonia. To see the lesson titles in each module, or for more detail on how Bamzonia covers the UK curricula, click the relevent link within the right hand menu of this page.
